My co-worker Danielle asked me to take some headshots of her mom as she completed her final round of chemotherapy battling breast cancer. Angela wanted to do something fun and unique to celebrate the milestone. Instead of covering up with a wig, she decided to cherish it by getting Henna tattooed all over her bald head…a total badass move if you ask me. Angela’s mom (Danielle’s grandma) also happened to be in town from New Mexico, so we decided to get together at the Rowlbertos Media studios for a photo shoot. 3 generations in one place celebrating the strength of a woman overcoming cancer was powerful, creative, and uplifting. Fuck you cancer.
